A Strong Voice for Willowdale:
About Ardeshir

Ardeshir Zarezadeh is a longtime Willowdale resident, legal professional, and human rights and community advocate running for Toronto City Council. For approximately 20 years, Willowdale has been his home and the community where he does business.
He holds a Bacheor of Law and Politics, Master of Law and Juris Doctor degrees.
Through his professional practice and community work, he has helped individuals and families navigate complex legal and immigration matters and access the support they need to settle and build their lives here.
His community work was recognized by the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
A former political prisoner in Iran and President of the International Centre for Human Rights in Canada, Ardeshir brings a deep commitment to fairness, freedom, and accountable government.
Ardeshir is running to make Willowdale safer, protect taxpayers, and give residents a meaningful voice at City Hall. His priorities include advocating for 1,000 additional Toronto police officers, more effective and responsive policing, a temporary property tax freeze, responsible development supported by adequate infrastructure, and better roads and neighbourhood services. He opposes the shelter location at 68 Sheppard Avenue West and believes residents must be meaningfully consulted before major decisions are made.
His commitment is straightforward: listen to the community, advance practical solutions, and report openly on results.
