The proposed shelter at 68 Sheppard Avenue West

I oppose the construction of the shelter at 68 Sheppard Avenue West and will seek Council support to reconsider the location and pursue a suitable alternative.

I support safe accommodation and effective services for people experiencing homelessness, including Indigenous women and children. Shelter decisions must account for the needs of the people using the facility and the surrounding community.

I will advocate for meaningful resident consultation before future shelter locations are finalized, with public information about operating plans, costs, neighborhood impacts, and accountability.
